Three things, in order.
Engineer-first
You hold a strong opinion, loosely. You debug before you guess. You'll be writing the code, mounting the sensor, and writing the customer email all in the same week.
Pragmatic
A good answer that ships beats a perfect answer that doesn't. We will choose the boring framework, the boring database, the boring deployment story - every time it lets us focus on the model and the customer.
